Over the years many people have broken bread around our Thanksgiving table. Some are now with Jesus, others moved away. Some were but for a season. So many memories - so many pies! I am truly grateful for each one that has pulled up a chair, eaten more then we should, and tilted back with stuffed celebration of family, friends, food, and most importantly, the many blessings of our bountiful Lord. I still shed tears for those I miss. I wait with anticipation for who will show this year. I pray for each one that has ever graced our banquet.
Laughter, good food, and relationship - to me the perfect day. Who will grace your table this year? Will you reach out to invite the one that God lays on your heart. Somewhere, someone will be thanking their Lord over a WaWa turkey bowl in silence. Can you add a chair to your table? Can you bless a soul this year - you never know who could end up at your table. Heb 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
Heb 13:2 Do not be forgetful of hospitality, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
