Under The Mimosa Tree

Under the mimosa - things are fresh and things are calm
The gentle breezes usher all my cares into the pond
The sun’s warmth caresses as it falls across my face
The Lord’s voice lingers with His amazing grace

What do the birds and fish think as they gaze upon this scene
Do they ever stop to worry or wonder ‘bout their needs
They trust the One who clothed them with colors of every hue
They seem to bid us also –Trust Him who died for you

Under the mimosa, life’s troubles fade away
Gazing all around us - Creation points the way
Pointing to the Maker, pointing to what’s made
For under the mimosa, our troubles we can trade

To Jesus go our burdens, our hearts for Him to mend
In this peaceful setting- hear - as He calls us friend
Love is the only answer and is the only key
To find true peace and kinship with our Savior and His tree

Laugh with Him, Cry with Him?
He’s waiting here for you…

For Love

For love He suffered, for love He died
He rose again and lives on high

New life He gives to all who ask
So at the cross I lay my mask
No more to hide no more regret
For in my Lord my needs are met

So by His side is where I’ll be
I in Him and He in me

My sinful past may raise its head
But safe in Him I will be lead
When He forgives it is complete
No need to worry or repeat

So free is where I choose to stay
Let all my burdens fall away

I choose to trust, I choose to lean
On His strong arms and walking clean
His love’s amazing and so true
For love is why He died for you

Lay down your cares, Reach out to Him
Repent today, be free from sin
The price is paid, the debt is clear
He rose again to draw us near

So by His side is where I’ll be
I in Him and He in me

Like Mary Magdalene, His friend
I bow my heart, my knee I bend
To God the Father, God the Son
Holy Spirit three in one

Prayer!

P…Praise
R…Repent
A…Ask
Y…Yield
E…Enjoy
R…Repeat!

P ~ Praise
Psalm 67:1-7 To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song. May God be merciful to us, and bless us, and cause His face to shine on us. Selah. (2) So that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations. (3) Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples thank You. (4) O let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for You shall judge the peoples righteously and govern the nations on earth. Selah. (5) Let the peoples give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. (6) The earth shall yield its increase; and God, our own God, shall bless us. (7) God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

R ~ Repent
Psalm 32:1-11 A Psalm of David. A Contemplation. Blessed is the man whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. (2) Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not charge iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. (3) When I kept silence, my bones became old through my roaring all the day long. (4) For by day and by night Your hand was heavy on me; my sap is turned into the droughts of summer. Selah. (5) I confessed my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, I will confess my transgression to the LORD; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. (6) For this let every godly one pray to You, in a time when You may be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near him. (7) You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall circle me with songs of deliverance. Selah. (8) I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you. (9) Be not like the horse, or like the mule, who have no understanding, whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, so that they do not come near you. (10) The wicked has many sorrows, but mercy embraces him who trusts in the LORD. (11) Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.

A ~ Ask
Mat 7:7-11 Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. (8) For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened. (9) Or what man is there of you, if his son asks a loaf, will he give him a stone? (10) Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a snake? (11) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?

Y ~ Yield
Romans 6:12-19 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. (13) Do not yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to God, as one alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. (14) For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under Law, but under grace. (15) What then? Shall we sin because we are not under Law, but under grace? Let it not be! (16) Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey; whether it is of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness. (17) But thanks be to our God that you were the slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. (18) Then being made free from sin, you became the slaves of righteousness. (19) I speak in the manner of men because of the weakness of your flesh; for as you have yielded your members as slaves to uncleanness, and to lawless act unto lawless act, even so now yield your members as slaves to righteousness unto holiness.

E ~ Enjoy
Psalm 45:13-15 The king's daughter is all glorious within; her clothing is trimmed with gold. (14) She shall be brought to the king in clothing of needlework; the virgins, her companions after her, shall be brought to You. (15) They shall be led with joy and gladness; they shall enter into the King's palace.

R ~ Repeat!
Psalm 55:17 Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.

Psalm 86:1-17
A Prayer of David. Bow down Your ear, O Jehovah, hear me; for I am poor and needy. (2) Preserve my soul; for I am holy; O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You. (3) Be merciful to me, O Lord; for I cry to You daily. (4) Give joy to the soul of Your servant; for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. (5) For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive (Repent), and rich in mercy to all those who call on You. (6) Give ear, O Jehovah, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my prayers. (7) In the day of my trouble I will call on You; for You will answer me. (8) Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; none are like Your works. (9) All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name. (10) For You are great and do wonderful things; You alone are God. (Praise) (11) Teach me Your way, O Jehovah; I will walk in Your truth (Yield); my heart rejoices to fear Your name. (12) I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore. (13) For great is Your mercy toward me; and You have delivered my soul from the lowest hell. (14) O God, the proud have risen against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my life, and have not set You before them. (15) But You, O God, are God full of pity, and gracious, long-suffering, and rich in mercy and truth. (16) Oh turn to me, and have mercy on me; give Your strength (Ask) to Your servant, and save the son of Your handmaid. (17) Show me a token for good, so that they who hate me may see and be ashamed; because You, Jehovah, have helped me and comforted me.

Ring, Ring

Ring, ring, text, text
Inbox is full
Are they friends
Do they care
Words flow
Yet are souls bared
Have you looked in their eyes
Have you paused to think
Do you really care
Or do you just link
Have you facebooked today
Have you stopped to pray
Text, text, ring, ring,
Does it honor the King
Can you reach out in love
Will you hear what they say
Will you gossip or pray
Smiles lie, eyes hide
Will you reach inside
Go deeper, love sweeter
Be a friend
To the end
Ring, ring, text, text
Will you dance, will you sing
Will you answer the King

My Dad, Robert Erroll Adams - Went home to Jesus on Jan 21, 1978

My Earthly Father

My earthly father has now passed away

He lives with our Savior in Heaven today

I’ll see him again, when the rapture is come

For I have the peace that we accepted the Son

Oh wonderful peace from my Savior and Lord

Peace that is found in the bible – our sword

And someday we’ll see him – my father that is

In a robe of pure white and a crown that is his

We’ll rejoice in God’s kingdom for ever and then

We’ll praise God some more that we’re together again

One Life At A Time

My father’s life was short in years yet long in impact. Men today still boast of his stand for the Lord. He stood strong and straight, yet gentle and kind. A man of few words ~ speaking volumes. Today I see his image printed on my face and those of my children. Oh, that they may have known him here! Comfort is brought by the knowledge of the eternal. We will, once again, be face to face. They too, by choosing Jesus, can meet with his embrace!

I look back to his father, also a man of God. Love of the Lord, and of his family reflecting in his compassionate eyes. Teaching that God’s Word has all the answers. His gentle hands cultivating lives as well as plants.

I look now and see the impact of another man, another father ~this time the father of my children. God’s love pours from his heart. I hear its beat echoing my father and grandfather’s loving hearts, all beating in time with the Father of all. One man really can change the world ~ one life at time. Lives lived in sacrifice. Lives lived in love. Lives pointed to the One who makes the change ~one life at a time~ Jesus.

My father’s passion for the Lord gave me comfort. My grandfather’s passion for the Lord gave me hope. My husband’s passion for the Lord gives me strength. Oh, that each generation to come would know that passion! That they too ~one life at a time~ would win the world to Jesus!
